About Psych-Appeal

1 in 4 Americans are affected by a mental health condition. That’s why we’re here.

With more than 50 percent of all Americans suffering from a mental illness during their lifetime, mental health and substance disorder treatment should be available to everyone.

Yet health insurance companies are frequently at odds with patient care. Mental health parity laws at the state level as well as within the Affordable Care Act place mental health treatment on par with medical care. But health insurers often operate on a business model that encourages insurer claims denials of coverage and delays in reimbursements, or ignores claims altogether. This prevents patients from receiving the treatment they urgently require.

Putting People First

That’s where Psych-Appeal comes in. Founded by a practicing attorney with a background in mental health, Psych-Appeal is uniquely qualified to help patients, clinicians, and treatment facilities navigate the complex process of challenging insurer claims denials. Our extensive knowledge of both mental health care and the law provides clients with a distinct advantage when facing unjust claims denials.
